During the seven and a half years, which is 8 seasons for groups, we have had 50 our more groups come to do various things from VBS to construction. We have no idea how many people have been led to Christ but God has every name written in His book. He knows each one and they were all for His glory. We have been able to hand out at least 600 Bibles each year since 2003, so that is somewhere between 3600 and 4000 Bibles that have been given. How many suckers have you, our groups, given to kids? How many toys? How many pieces of clothing? HOW MUCH LOVE HAVE YOU GIVEN TO THESE OUR BRAZILIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS? HOW MUCH LOVE HAVE YOU TAKEN BACK TO THE STATES WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEFT?
WAL, DEBBIE, BARRY, ROETTA, CHAD, DAESHA, MARK, DEBBIE, DANNY, DUSTIN, TIM, BRENT, ELAINE AND PASTOR JACK were a great team. They started out from Somerset KY with 26 trunks and got here with only 8. The rest got confiscated in Belem. Their plans for VBS in 3 villages on the river was gone. They didn't have nearly enough items for what they had planned to do with the children. Then as if it all had a purpose, God took over again because they prayed in the airport at Belem for His will to be done. When they got here in Santarem they looked an what little we had left from other groups and took some and prayed again that God would make it enough. WOW, we had a great time in VBS in all the villages. As pastor Gilbert would say, "God showed up and He showed off". He made what we had enough to do exactly what He wanted done. No one realized that they didn't have enough of anything. God was lifted up and He was glorified and that is why this group came. To Glorify God and to let our friends in Brasil know that Jesus loves them and we do too.
THANK YOU WAL AND YOUR GROUP FOR COMING AND SHOWING US THAT WE DON'T NEED SO MANY THINGS TO DO HIS WORK. WE NEED HIS WORD AND OUR AVAILABILITY AND GOD WILL DO THE REST.
