The group from Covenant Christian has come and gone again. It sure didn't take long for them to spend 9 days here. The group was 19 strong and were they good? Yes they sure were. We had the opportunity to do Sports Evangelism in Porto Trombetas, Oriximina, Obidos, Santarem, Belterra and in a village on the Jari Canal. This group of young people doesn't know the word tired. I think if we had 20 hours of daylight they would play soccer the whole time. We(they) played soccer in every stop and we did visitation and/or VBS there too. At night we had a worship service in the local church. The group not only did soccer clinics and VBS and worship services and.... and...., they also sang specials for church. We were so blessed with them. John, Roc and Junior we thank you for putting this all together and we look for another group just as good ---- maybe better for next year.
God was really glorified through the work that this group put together. To all the members of the group,,, Jan and Scotty say thanks and don't forget the part of you that you left here and cherish the part of Brasil that you took home to the U.S.A. with you. We pray that your lives will never be the same. PLEASE continue to look for opportunities to speak in the name of our Lord, Jesus. Be bold in your endeavors for Him. The rewards from the Father are AWSOME. There are many names in His Book of Life because you said "HERE AM I SEND ME, SEND ME."
